The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, May 20, 2020, features Carly, Michael, and Willow taking the stand, Sonny continuing to struggle and Laura offering her wayward son some comfort.
Carly (Laura Wright) was the first witness called to testify in the custody hearing. She admitted to being committed to not one but TWO mental health facilities – but at least only one of those confinements was her fault. Sure, she shot and grievously injured Tony Jones but it was Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) perjured testimony that sent her to Ferncliff.
Next, it was Michael’s (Chad Duell) turn. He admitted to loving Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) but not being in love with her…however, the marriage was far from one of convenience.
Finally, Willow was called. Martin (Michael E. Knight) tried to paint her as an overzealous buttinsky but the glowing recommendation from her former boss and her complimentary performance review put paid to that.
Afterward, Diane rested her case. Martin, in turn, began his – and called Nelle Benson JEROME to testify on her own behalf. By, the way, did you remember that her last name is now Jerome? That is actually super important…as if it’s something to be proud of.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) continued to bemoan Mike’s (Max Gail) fate. Jason (Steve Burton) offered him his personal opinion on the issue – he would not want to be kept alive by artificial means. However, he is sure that whatever Sonny decides to do will be fine by Mike.
Lulu (Emme Rylan) stopped by her mom’s place to complain about Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) and Ava’s (Maura West) impending soiree. She was sure that neither one of them should attend…but Laura (Genie Francis) had other ideas.
She explained that there was no way she could disappoint her back-from-the-dead son by not attending. Then, she welcomed the man in question into her home. He explained his conundrum where Spencer and Ava were concerned and Laura insisted that he knew the right thing to do. Later, he called Spencer and told him that he had an answer.
Elizabeth (Rebecca Budig) and Franco (Roger Howarth) continued to fight. He didn’t like her involvement with Nikolas, and she wasn’t crazy about his friendship with Ava. And the woman’s appearance with a $15,000 dollar check didn’t help matters. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
