The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, September 11 features a child’s birthday party, Laura proving that she is the smartest person in any room and Sonny (Sonny!) being the voice of reason — while Kim was definitely NOT.
Rocco’s birthday party is in full swing at Charlie’s (and Nonna Olivia’s baked ziti is the oven and that truly is served at Italian kids’ birthday parties in Brooklyn, trust us) but even the multitude of presents isn’t enough to lift the boy’s spirits because he misses his dad.
Madame Mayor Webber (Genie Francis) is swarmed by photographers at the PCPD and expertly handles their probing questions about Sasha’s illness and Drew’s disappearance in the Gulf of Aiden.
During a debriefing with Jordan (Brianna Nicole Henry), Laura found it awfully hard to swallow the fact that Cassandra would target Nina’s daughter to get back at Valentin When she arrived at Rocco’s party, she made a point of addressing her concerns with her son’s murderer and let him and the Mrs. know that she’s on to their cover-up.
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) approached Sonny (Maurice Benard) and asked him to eliminate Cassandra Pierce in case she tries to attack Corinthos family member next. But Sonny let Valentin know he was barking up the wrong tree. In fact Sonny is just a guy who “imports coffee.”
Dustin arrived at Rocco’s party and was persuaded by the kid’s to stay. In fact, Rocco finally began to enjoy himself after besting Dustin at thumb wrestling. However, Olivia is put out by the fact that Lulu has a new male friend.
But it’s Sonny who tries to talk some sense into her by pointing out that a) Lulu and Dante are divorced and b) Lulu shouldn’t have to put her life on hold for the CHANCE that Dante may recover.
Detective Chase (Josh Swickard) arrived at Dranco’s (Roger Howarth) room to question him about Andre’s attack and Drew’s disappearance. His manner didn’t appeal to Kim (Tamara Braun) who told him to stop treating “Drew” as a suspect. Her slip of the tongue was not lost on Dranco.
Jax (Ingo Rademacher), Hayden (Rebecca Budig) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) discussed their plan to find that all-important codicil to Mikkos Cassadine’s will. Curtis decided that if they want to know everything about the man’s missus they needed to go to an expert.
To that end, he sought out Helen’s second favorite plaything: Laura! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
