The General Hospital (GH) recap for Thursday, August 2nd features Nelle’s lie breaking hearts all over the place.

While Josslyn (Eden McCoy) was relieved her mother didn’t flee for Canada yet, both she and Carly (Laura Wright) were anxious to hear whatever happened to Nelle and the baby. Soon, Sonny arrived and told them the baby died and they were devastated.

Back at the hospital, Kim (Tamara Braun) confirmed the baby did NOT die from complications from the accident (No! Really?), so Michael’s guilt was alleviated as he tore into Nelle and her river of crocodile tears.

He took pleasure in informing her about the invisible ink on their marriage license and how they’re not actually married, despite “the town mayor” marrying them.

Michael (Chad Duell)then headed to the safe house and told his parents he named his ‘dead’ son Jonah.

Sam (Kelly Monaco) was as determined as Joss that Jason (Steve Burton) and Carly do not take off to Canada, so she and Curtis (Donnell Turner) did their thing and put one over on Nurse Mary (Pat) Ingalls at Ferncliff.

They somehow convinced her Ferncliff was going to win a mental health award and Sam took the time to find the orders for Carly’s special treatment.

When she brought her findings to Jason, he was sure this could be the key to Carly’s freedom.

At the docks, Ava (Maura West) tried to get rid of the baby blanket, but then Griffin (Matt Cohen) found her and wondered if she was safe wandering the docks alone as his manly shirtless self, was out for a run.

Ava wasn’t having any of that and let Griffin know she can take care of herself, thank you very much. When Griffin continued his half-naked run, Ava placed a mysterious call to Julian.

General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
