The General Hospital for Wednesday, December 16, 2020, features Julian’s past coming back to haunt him, Laura getting one step closer to the truth, and Ryan Chamberlin pulling the wool over everyone’s eyes.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

A grievously injured Julian (William deVry) managed to make his way to a bus terminal in Secaucus, New Jersey, clutching a ticket for Montreal. The bullet wound he received back in New York City continued to bleed, and as he faded in and out of consciousness, Julian began to hallucinate figures from his past.

First, Duke Lavery (Ian Buchanan) appeared to taunt him for his overt crimes. Then, a blood-drenched Kate Howard/Connie Falconeri (Megan Ward) arrived to remind him of the misdeeds he foisted upon others.

Though nearing death, Julian still refused to take responsibility for any of his wrongdoings…not even the vicious assault he perpetrated against Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) with the dagger that killed her mother.

His exes vengeful avatar made her presence known and insisted that the only way Julian could achieve peace was to atone – and balance the scales by submitting to the Grim Reaper. But a defiant Julian will soldier on for another day. But only in the direst of straits.

One Step Forward, One Step Back

Over, in Vermont, Curtis (Donnell Turner) managed to convince Laura’s (Genie Francis) new caregiver to forgo the sedative and allow her to enter into sleep on her own.

When the coast was clear, Laura swapped her hospital gown for her own clothes and headed for Florence Grey’s room. She managed to locate the woman but no then another (mystery) person entered the fray.

It Takes A Village

Back in Port Charles, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) admitted to Carly (Laura Wright) that it was Cyrus (Jeff Kober) who told Trina (Sydney Mikayla) that her father was alive. Carly relayed the news to a displeased Sonny (Maurice Benard), threatened a visiting Cyrus, and attempted to convince Joss that it wasn’t true.

Meanwhile, the tension between Trina and Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) eased and the two shared a warm moment. Afterward, while Trina headed for the hospital, Jordan and Taggert (Real Andrews) engaged in a shoot out with one of Cyrus’s men.

Jordan requested Mac’s (John J. York) presence at the scene, then beckoned for Taggert who revealed himself.

Winner, Winner

At GH, Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) awoke from his coma but was diagnosed as being in a permanent vegetative state. However, the smile elicited from a venom spewing Ava (Maura West) seemed to indicate otherwise. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
