The General Hospital recap for Thursday, September 5 features some good old-fashioned blackmail, an unexpected recovery, and even more questions.
At General Hospital, Finn (Michael Easton) informed Liesl (Kathleen Gati) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) that they (and Nina) needed to submit to some advanced testing to determine if they might be carrying Cassandra Pierce’s weaponized strain of bird flu.
Liesl informed Valentin that the tests in question would compare DNA — which would then surely reveal absolutely no familial connection between Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Sasha.
When Valentin threatened that he would drag her down with him should their charade be exposed, Liesl tracked down Brad (Parry Shen). She had a big “favor” to ask him: when the test results come in they need to confirm that Nina and Sasha are mother and daughter. Brad initially said no but Liesl once again used her knowledge of Wiley’s parentage to persuade him.
Cameron (William Lipton) informed Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) about the kiss between Kim (Tamara Braun) and Franco (Roger Howarth) and Nurse Webber managed to handle the news quite well.
Across town, Franco nearly spilled the beans about the kiss to Julian (William deVry) but refrained. Later he asked Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to take his case but she declined considering what Franco put her daughter through.
Peter (Wes Ramsey) made a move to tamper with Andre’s I.V. drip but the doctor’s vitals suddenly spiked so the criminal formerly known as Henrik high tailed it out of the room before Epiphany and the attending physician arrived.
To everyone’s surprise not only did Andre (Anthony Montgomery) awaken but he told them the circumstances surrounding his attack. Drew placed him on a commercial flight back to Port Charles and when he exited the airport a car was there to pick him up. However, the driver was an assassin who stabbed him.
With one mystery solved the police — and “consultant” Jason (Steve Burton) — asked about Drew. Andre was shocked that Drew had yet to land in Afghanistan as they had parted company nearly 20 hours before — long enough for Drew to have arrived at his destination.
When Sam (Kelly Monaco) called to check on the plane’s progress she was informed that the aircraft had completely vanished! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
