The General Hospital recap for Monday, August 9, 2021, features Sam McCall and Shawn Butler fearing that they’ve let down a person of interest, Austin Holt wondering if Harrison Chase might be up for a spot of shenanigans, and Nikolas Cassadine (rightfully) fearing the worst about his son.
Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Shawn (Sean Blakemore) were certain that Naomi Dreyfus (Gigi Bermingham) was their only hope in tracking down Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) – but Naomi didn’t have much to say; and what she did say set off numerous red flags.
Her description of Hayden as an overwrought mother desperate to foist Violet (Jophielle Love) off onto someone else rang hallow, and she even managed to get Hayden’s middle name wrong…but was it purposeful? Sam and Shawn thought so. So, back to Naomi’s hotel room they rushed; but the sight that greeted them wasn’t very comforting!
Chase (Josh Swickard) has made up his mind: he wants a divorce from Willow Tait Chase (Katelyn MacMullen), and he wants one now; that way, he’s free of a woman who only married him out of pity, and she’ll be able to marry the man she truly loves – Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
But not so fast, says Austin (Roger Howarth). Why not join forces with me, and help me prove, once and for all, that I’m entitled to a piece of the Quartermaine pie?
Having stumbled upon correspondence between Ryan Chamberlin (Jon Lindstrom) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) was seized by a terrible thought: what if Spencer is the one terrorizing him and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West)?
Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) tried to dissuade Nikolas from doing anything rash, but she failed to prevent him from making a beeline for Spencer so that he could confront him with his surmises.
