The General Hospital recap for August 31-September 4, 2020, features Alexis losing yet another lover, Sam making yet another enemy, and Peter making yet another foolish decision.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

There seems to be some kind of unwritten rule that the Davis women in general, and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) in particular, can’t have anything nice. Just when it seems that Alexis is about to embark on a healthy, affection-filled relationship, her man went and died on her.

And then she learned that his death was caused by a drug overdose – the same fate that befell his much-beloved daughter. Surely, that’s no coincidence. And surely, there’s more to this story than meets the eye.

There’s certainly more to Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) than meets the eye – or there is as far as Sam (Kelly Monaco) is concerned. Not content with merely basking in the joy she feels with Jason’s (Steve Burton) homecoming, Sam instead made it her mission to root out Brando’s supposed evil doing.

Not even the man’s brutal beating at the hands of Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) thugs could convince her that Brando was actually the good man that he appeared to be. We’d warn Sam to stop borrowing trouble but if she were to do so, we’re sure the universe would throw some kind of curveball her way. Just because her last name is McCall, it doesn’t mean she’s immune to the Davis curse.

Peter: Hoisted By His Own Petard

File this one under, “You win some, you lose some.” Peter (Wes Ramsey) gets the opportunity to delight in seeing his and Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) developing baby then he allows himself to get caught uttering some pretty incriminating dialogue. Let’s hope this storyline is gearing up for the big finish. #JusticeForDrew.

GH Musings

Was there anybody out there just dying to box Ned’s (Wally Kurth) jaw after his brutal indictment of Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and her desire to try and communicate with her son? We get that he’s grieving his broken relationship with Brook Lynn (Briana Lane), but come on. The man was a straight-up, selfish jerk.

Show of hands. Who thinks that Nelle (Chloe Lanier) really perished out in those deep dark woods? And how in the world do you think her teeny, tiny all important necklace is going to be found? General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
