The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, August 3, 2021, features Curtis Ashford calling his marriage quits, Stella Henry taking meddling to a whole new level, and Harrison Chase getting the goods on Willow Tait Chase and Michael Corinthos.
Despite Jordan Ashford’s (Briana Nicole Henry) assertion that seeing their divorce through would be a monumental mistake, Curtis (Donnell Turner) argued the opposite. He’ll never, ever be able to trust his soon-to-be-ex-spouse, and without trust, you can’t have a happy marriage.
Over in Nixon Falls, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) sabotaged her video call with Wiley in a desperate bid to ensure that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) wouldn’t appear on camera; she later makes it up to Wiley by simply calling him.
Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) arrived, and after accidentally leading “Mike” and Nina to fear the worst, she revealed that Lenny Caulfield (Rif Hutton) would have to stay at the hospital overnight. She and Nina then had a private confab about Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and the unfinished business that Nina has with him.
At General Hospital, Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) eavesdropped on the confrontation between her mother, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Stella Henry (Vernee Watson), and learned that Portia and Curtis had been intimate during her marriage to Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews). Afterward, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) offered the young woman a shoulder to cry on, and some hard-earned wisdom.
Opposite this, Chase (Josh Swickard) and Austin Holt (Roger Howarth) learned, conclusively, that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael (Chad Duell) are sleeping together! Chase thinks this means that the two are deeply in love; Austin’s under the impression it’s just an old fashion case of adultery.
