General Hospital Recap: Carly Shows She Can Pull All The Strings

General Hospital Recap for April 22, 2021
 Comments

The General Hospital recap for Thursday, April 22, 2021, features Carly taking matters into her own hands, Jax complicating Nina’s already complicated life, and Finn giving Anna what-for.

General Hospital Recap Highlight

Carly (Laura Wright) invited Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) over to her home and informed her that Florence had been returned to Cyrus (Jeff Kober). What she neglected to add, however, was that she’d set in motion Jason’s (Steve Burton) escape from prison.

Step one: get Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) to shank her bestie and ensure that the wound is sufficient enough that he’ll be transferred to GH. Step two: remains to be seen, but let’s hope it isn’t as painful as the first.

Panic Mode

After growing tired of refereeing “Mike” (Maurice Benard) and Elijah (Dan White), Nina (Cynthia Watros) simply wanted to kick back and relax, even if for just a moment.

But rest wasn’t in her near future. Not with Jasper Jax (Ingo Rademacher) making an appearance at the Firehouse dance! She demanded he leave before he “ruins everything,” but Jax just assumed that she was playing hard to get. How is he expected to know she’s harboring an amnesiac Sonny?

Vial Behavior

Anna (Finola Hughes) tracked Finn (Michael Easton) down and presented him with what she hoped would be the solution to his problem – remnants of the vial containing the cure for Chase’s (Josh Swickard) poisoning.

And how did she come into possession of such a substance? Why, courtesy of Peter (Wes Ramsey), the mad poisoner himself. Finn’s gut response was to go and kill Peter. Luckily, Anna talked him round, and he instead prepared to go and attempt to reverse-engineer an antidote to the toxin flowing through his son’s veins.

But first, he wanted to let Anna know exactly what he thinks of her and her help. And none of what followed was complimentary. Anna really does deserve it though…and more.

Catch Up

Maxie snuck out of her apartment, sought refuge at Nathan’s grave, and proceeded to loudly share her recent woes and explain her plan to keep Peter away from their soon-to-be-born daughter.

She was, of course, overheard by yet another late-night graveyard visitor, but at least Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) is more likely to be friend rather than foe. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
