The General Hospital recap for Thursday, September 24, 2020, features Carly digging herself a deeper hole, Ned beginning to doubt Olivia’s commitment, and Ava losing a friend.
Though she was still in shock over the news of Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) passing, Carly (Laura Wright) managed to pull herself together long enough to explain how the young woman fell from the cliff.
Luckily, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Jason (Steve Burton) both jumped to her defense. Of course, she tried to keep Nelle from falling. They’re sure that her moment’s hesitation didn’t make the least bit of difference. And no, nobody is going to be sorry that Nelle is gone. But just in case anyone asks, she should still keep quiet about the whole incident.
And that’s exactly what Carly did when Detective Chase (Josh Swickard) came-a-calling. But she also made what could possibly be a fatal error. Rather than stick to the story as originally told to Valerie, Carly made a few adjustments and didn’t realize until after the fact. Jason was sure that the slips wouldn’t be held against her, but Carly wasn’t so certain.
Ned (Wally Kurth) and Brook Lynn’s (Briana Lane) tense conversation became even more so after Ned was contacted by the Monte Carlo hotel that housed Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and Robert (Tristan Rogers).
Ned was sure that Olivia had been up to something untoward. Or, at the very least, she had been roped into something by Robert. For her part, Brook Lynn dismissed the notion – though she did have to admit to deleting an earlier voice mail sent by her step-mother.
Ava (Maura West) was shocked and disheartened to learn that Scotty (Kin Shriner) was her blackmailer. She attempted to flirt and lie her way out her predicament, bit Scotty was resolute. He wanted $125,000 dollars, and he was going to get it, come hell or high water. His and Ava’s friendship be damned.
But all was not as it seemed. Sure, Scotty was indeed extorting them, but he was doing so at Franco (Roger Howarth) and Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) behest…even though Elizabeth was beginning to think better of the scheme.
Over at GH, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) offered Michael (Chad Duell) her condolences, learned that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) planned to adopt Wiley, and made a beeline for her drug dealer.
Meanwhile, Michael and Willow learned of Nelle’s death – and neither one was exactly heartbroken. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for more airtimes.
