The General Hospital recap for Thursday, September 23, 2021, features Ava Jerome Cassadine making her goodbyes, Trina Robinson putting two and two together and getting BETRAYAL, and Maxie Jones trying, and failing, to talk some sense into Nina Reeves.
General Hospital Recap Highlight
With so much going on in her personal life, Ava (Maura West) didn’t have the time to be overly surprised that the rumors of Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) death had been greatly exaggerated.
Instead, she zeroed in on her reason for darkening the mafioso’s door: she’s got to tell her baby girl goodbye. Meanwhile, Trina (Sydney Mikayla), who’s proven herself to be Ava’s number one stan, has had a think, and she’s concluded (rightfully so) that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and his girlfriend Esme “bitch with a capital B” Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) are the ones stalking Ava. But how to prove it? Enter Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and, hopefully, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
GH Recap: What’s Family For?
Nina (Cynthia Watros) has got some explaining to do. Firstly, and this is very important to her, she wants Maxie (Kirsten Storms) to know that she did her best to arrange Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) assassination…it’s not Nina’s fault that he got wise to her shenanigans and kidnapped Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) – if that’s what really happened.
Secondly, and she’s embarrassed by this bit, she’s in love with Sonny – or, more accurately, the persona he adopted in his amnesiac state. Much to Nina’s surprise, Maxie is totes understanding. They’ve all done crazy things for love. Nina took advantage of a man not in full control of his faculties; Maxie fed an addict’s addiction; potato, pa-ta-toe. But then Nina showed up at the cemetery where Sonny was visiting his dead self. Oops.
Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) ran into each other at the gym and she was surprised to hear that the woman he dumped her for dumped him when her not-dead husband returned. Did the Britch give him a hard time? Nope. She was understanding, though she did admit to a tiny bit of satisfaction, not that she wants to see him sad.
