The General Hospital recap for Friday, May 28, 2021, features Jason narrowly saving the day, Portia getting caught in the crossfire, Maxie fighting off her pursuer, and more.
Having broken the space/time continuum – or the land speed record, or having made the trek from Canada to Port Charles via transporter or Tardis – Jason (Steve Burton) made his welcomed appearance at the docks and eliminated all of Cyrus’s (Jeff Kober) goons…and he even put a bullet in Cyrus for good measure.
There was celebration all around, especially between Ava (Maura West) and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) – those two crazy in love kids! But the moment was marred by the sudden resurrection of a Cyrus lackey. Luckily, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) arrived just in time to save the day – and arrest Jason. Eh, you win some, you lose some.
Meanwhile, Portia (Brook Kerr) made a play for Curtis (Donnell Turner) and wound up with egg on her face. Yeah, it’s not her, it’s him. Blah, blah, blah. But the good doctor’s night got even worse when she arrived home and realized that a gun-toting Cyrus had let himself in!
“Nurse Chloe” (Kimberly J. Brown) may have been downed by the hot tea to the face and fire poker to the body, but she was far from out. She tracked down Maxie (Kirsten Storms), her baby, and that friendly, forest-loving doctor who’d offered his expertise, all in record time…and she even managed to make short shrift of Austin (Roger Howarth). But collecting Maxie and Louise was going to be another matter.
Maxie came out the gate swinging, well, more like kicking. But NC soldiered on. The final confrontation between the women took place over an oddly placed trap door – and it was the naughty nurse who took a tumble into the darkness below. Shades of Nelle Benson? Kinda.
Chase (Josh Swickard) made it a whole half hour or so before overhearing a particularly fretful conversation between Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and he made it a further three to five minutes before nearly collapsing in a heap.
Millow insisted on taking him back to the hospital…where Willow witnessed a conspiratorial exchange between Finn (Michael Easton) and a document-clutching Anna (Finola Hughes).
So, despite the entire affair being none of her business, Willow marched right up to Finn and demanded some answers. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
