The General Hospital recap for Friday, October 16, 2020, features Ned coming clean with Monica, Elizabeth and Franco taking the high road, Alexis continuing to spiral, Sonny making threats, and Dev acting all kinds of creepy.
Despite their mutual misgivings, Ned (Wally Kurth) and Brook Lynn (Briana Lane) agreed to a face-to-face. Well-meaning Monica (Leslie Charleson) attempted to moderate, but it was clear from the start that trouble was brewing.
Brook Lynn insisted that she had done Ned a favor by selling to Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Ned insisted that his daughter needed to learn how to put family first. Monica called them both stubborn and compared Ned to Edward.
The whole exercise in futility ended with Brook Lynn storming off into the night…or at least as far as the home’s front porch. Back inside Ned and Monica’s discussion turned towards the state of his marriage to Olivia. And then Ned admitted to cheating on his wife with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn)!
Franco (Roger Howarth) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) are up to their eyeballs in debt. Cameron (William Lipton) may not be able to go to college. And the home that they share with two other children is falling into disrepair.
But rather than see their blackmail scheme to an end, they chose to allow Scotty (Kin Shriner) to ruin his friendship with Ava (Maura West) and then tear up the checks that he collected.
But at least THEIR conscience is clear and THEIR relationship is intact. Well, at least until Nikolas and Ava uncover their deception.
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) continued to drink copious amounts of neat vodka, though she did momentarily cease her sipping in order to visit with her nephew.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) channeled his inner Corleone and began plotting Cyrus’s (Jeff Kober) downfall. Then he paid Julian (William de Vry) a visit and threatened him soundly.
Dev (Ashton Arbab) stepped up his plan to win Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy) affections by leading Cameron to believe that she was displeased with the kiss they shared. You know, like any rational teenager is wont to do. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
