The General Hospital recap for Friday, May 21, 2021, features the solving of a Ten Little Indians-style mystery, a farewell to a much-loved figure, and an audacious plan put into motion.
General Hospital Recap Highlight
Sean Donely’s (John Reilly) family and closet friends reunited in County Kerry, Ireland, in order to lay him to rest. Afterward, while Tiffany (Sharon Wyatt) and Connor (Michael Lynch) set off to spread some of Sean’s ashes at his place of birth, Sean’s daughter, Annie (Caitlin Reilly), hosted a wake at a rented B&B.
The proceedings were marred by the simmering tension between Anna (Finola Hughes) and Felicia (Kristina Wagner), and Annie’s refusal to hand over classified WSB documents to Robert (Tristan Rogers). As the young woman attempted to explain, on multiple occasions, she still feels beholden to the oath she swore to the agency…despite their refusal to accept her into their ranks.
As the night progressed, Anna and Felicia made peace – but trouble continued to brew. One by one, the guests began disappearing. First Laura (Genie Francis), then Monica (Leslie Charleson), and then Mac (John J. York) and Felicia.
Left behind at each abduction scene was a token from Sean’s past: a toy pistol and the flag of Mexico (invoking his past as El Patron), a miniature of Mount Rushmore (the setting of an epic adventure involving terrorists), and replicas of Felicia’s ancestral treasure.
Through trial and error, Annie deduced that Anna and Robert were the perpetrators of the skullduggery, and her final act of condemning them and refusing to hand over Sean’s casefiles earned her that long-hoped-for WSB badge! Yes, the entire night had been a stealthily executed test of Annie’s merit, and she passed with flying colors.
Helping Hand
Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) answered Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) emergency summons, and learned all about the plot she’d engineered to keep baby Louise away from Peter (Wes Ramsey)….and she immediately offered her services. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
