General Hospital Recap: A Bus Crash Causes Some Trouble

The General Hospital recap for Thursday, July 9, 2020, features another episode where Sonny and his children take center stage. In today’s show, the Teflon Don had his hands full as he had to deal not only with an injured Kristina and an in-peril Dante, but he also had Carly on his back harping over Michael’s newest love interest.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

In the aftermath of the bus crash that injured a plethora of Port Charles citizens – who were all on their way to a ski resort – Sonny (Maurice Benard) began making the rounds and checking on his injured progeny.

Secure in the knowledge that Michael (Chad Duell) and Morgan were safe and sound, Sonny came a calling to Kristina’s (Lexi Ainsworth) room and attempted to dissuade her of the notion that she was responsible for her friend’s death.

Off that conversation, Sonny then had to save Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) from Theo Hoffman (Daniel Benzali), the insensitive lawyer he had hired to help his son and Brenda (Vanessa Marcil) beat a murder rap. (Turns out Theo is not only an international crime lord, but the man that Brenda and Dante killed was his son! Does Sonny know how to pick them or what?)

Then his precious time was co-opted by Carly (Laura Wright) who insisted on complaining about Michael’s latest lady friend. And as if she didn’t have enough to complain about – like the decade that separated Michael and Abby – Carly was soon given even more ammo by Sonny himself (albeit accidentally): Abby is an exotic dancer!

Dangerous Liaison

Meanwhile, Terrell Jackson, pediatric surgeon extraordinaire, joined the staff of GH. However, it soon transpired that he was already close friends with Dr. Lisa Niles and she had an assignment for him: seduce Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCollough)!

Playing Happy Family

Over at Monica’s (Leslie Charleson) – Alan gave her the house don’t you know? – Tracy (Jane Elliot) returned from her honeymoon sans Luke (Anthony Geary) who had involved himself in a diamond heist!

That was bad news for her and even worse news for Ethan (Nathan Parsons) and Maya Ward (Annie Ilonzeh) whom Edward (John Ingle) had just convinced to stay at the estate – with the aid of a $1 million bribe! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
