General Hospital Poll Results: Who Needs More Love In the Afternoon?

Has General Hospital lost that loving feeling? And now it’s gone, gone, gone? How over 3,000 fans voted on which couples could use some more romance:

Jason and Sam

Sure, they’re front-burner, what with Sam (Kelly Monaco) just having been convicted of manslaughter and Jason (Steve Burton) dividing his time between fretting over the love of his life and making sure Sonny is happy.

But front-burner doesn’t equal romance. Jailhouse visits aren’t romantic. Even if Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco (Roger Howarth) got married in one.

A winning 66% of you want to see Sam and Jason hitting the sheets, not tying them together to escape prison! The man came back from the dead for her. The least Sam can do is obey Jason’s orders and stay out of trouble for him!

Still the One

A smaller 18% of General Hospital fans voted for Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright). Because first worrying about a potentially-special needs child, then constantly repeating the name of the child who is now just fine — Donna, by the way, did you know her name was Donna? — isn’t romance either. You’re happy they’re enjoying being a family. But how about some couple time?

Maxie(mum) Overdrive

They’re young, they’re hot, they’re single — mostly because he played a role in getting her husband killed, but those are details. So why aren’t Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Peter (Wes Ramsey) getting it on more often?

We realize he’s busy plotting nefarious deeds, while it takes all of Maxie’s concentration to remain in denial about them. But, what about evenings and weekends? Surely, they can take some time for romance then, 11% of the audience pleads.

A handful of write-in votes went to Liz and Franco. But he’s not himself these days. Also Willow and Chase, and, for some reason, Michael (Chad Duell)… alone. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
