General Hospital fans are used to children popping up whom characters never knew they had. But the characters themselves are still surprised. Every. Single. Time.

General Hospital Polling

Recently, Port Charles saw a backward version of this story. Sonny (Maurice Benard) got attached to a Turkish street urchin named Dev (Ashton Arbab). When the kid turned up in America, Sonny decided to add a new kind of fraud to his criminal activities, and forged papers to make it seem like Dev was the grandson of his cousin, Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs), the long-lost son of her dead son, Brando.

Except, oops, turns out Gladys lied about that last part. Sonny was shocked — shocked, we tell you! He can’t imagine the sort of depraved individual who lies about something so important.

Brando (Johnny Wactor) was shocked, as well. He didn’t recall having a Turkish street urchin son. Brando mosied over to Port Charles, where he saved Carly’s (Laura Wright) life before threatening to blow their scheme wide open.

But since Sonny always wins, we’re not worried about that. We’re worried about which woman should be the right one for him. We heard from over 5,000 viewers about it:

Never Fear, Brook Lynn Is Here!

Almost 50% of the audience voted for Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). Sure, why not? We know hardly anything about him, we know hardly anything about her, they’re both pretty… go for it, guys.

To the Maxie

A smaller 31% of General Hospital fans opted for Maxie (Kirsten Storms). Maybe it’s because you figure anyone would be better than Peter (Wes Ramsey). At least Brando isn’t a psycho. That we know of. Yet.

Look Around

Almost half that number, 14% picked Lulu (Emme Rylan). Dante (Dominic Zaporonga) is gone, Dustin (Mark Lawson) isn’t doing it for you with his blandness, and Brando sounds edgier. Even if it’s just the name…

Saved Life

Only 5% picked Carly. See Sonny always winning, above. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
