No one says that Maxie had everything in life handed to her on General Hospital. She had to deal with first an absentee dad, as Frisco (Jack Wagner) went gallivanting around the globe, saving the world, and then an absentee mom, as Felicia (Kristen Wagner) disappeared for literally years at a time.
General Hospital Polling
She almost died before getting a heart transplant, and then had to live with the knowledge that her cousin, BJ, was the donor. She lost her sister, Georgie, to a serial killer, and her daughter, Georgie, to Spinelli (Bradford Anderson). Husband Nathan died before the birth of their son, James.
So, yeah, she’s had it tough personally. Professionally, on the other hand, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) has pretty much had everything handed to her. Did she even go to college? Work her way up from the bottom? Even pass by the bottom on her way to the executive suite?
So when she didn’t get the job and the office she wanted, was Maxie justified in quitting in a huff and heading for Lucy’s (Lynn Herring) indulgent competition? How almost 7,000 fans saw it:
Great Economy
Of course, 52% of General Hospital fans cheer. Maxie was absolutely right. If you don’t get exactly what you want, exactly when you want it, the only correct response is to take your ball and go home.
Maxie was promised a promotion. Maxie was promised a new office. Maxie was promised more money. When Jax (Ingo Rademacher) vetoed Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) request, Maxie had every right to stomp off. Especially when she knew Lucy would be happy to meet her demands.
Go Pro
The way Maxie handled it was unprofessional, according to a smaller 37% of you, but she did have a point. Nina went back on her promise. That’s unacceptable.
Crying Over Spoiled Maxie
Only 11% think she acted like a spoiled brat. But you didn’t expect any different. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
