General Hospital Poll Results: Should Spinnelli Return For Good?

General Hospital isn’t quite the same without Spinnelli babbling, as he does, and hacking, as he also does. (We mean the computer kind, not the coughing.)

Everyone agrees that GH isn’t the same. But is it better – or worse? Should he return to Port Charles full-time? What almost 6,000 fans had to say about the possibility:

Looks like Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) has a lot of fans, as 95% would like to see the geek back on his home turf. Now, maybe, it’s because you enjoy watching him utterly baffle Sonny (Maurice Benard). Maybe it’s because you enjoy his hero worshiping of Jason (Steve Burton) — though, goodness knows, there are plenty of folks around to fill that quota.

Maybe it’s because you’d like to see Maxie (Kirsten Storms) reunited with her baby girl, Georgie, or because you really, really need someone — anyone — to distract Maxie from Peter (Wes Ramsey) and his gravelly voice of doom.

So plenty of reasons, and plenty of Yes votes. What about Spinnelli’s better half, Ellie? If she gets that new job near Port Charles, might there be a triangle brewing that truly does take Maxie away from Peter?

Only 5% of General Hospital fans voted no, but they deserve to be heard out, too. Spinelli is a real acquired taste. And some viewers just never acquire it. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

In addition, Maxie and Peter have their fans, and you don’t want anyone breaking up the potential couple. Plus, having Georgie around would just distract Maxie from sweet baby James. And he seems to be somewhere else enough as it is. Maxie can barely recall having one child. Two would be beyond her. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
