Love triumphs over all on General Hospital… sometimes. Sure, love can triumph over jail terms and illegitimate children and even death. But can it triumph over a medical licensing board?
General Hospital Polling
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) first came to Neil (Joe Flanigan) for therapy. Alexis needs a lot of therapy. She has a lot of issues. Many of them are no fun for anyone, especially Alexis.
Neil tried to work through her many, many issues. The pair hit it off. As in not just professionally, but romantically. Alexis has a pretty terrible track record with men. Primarily because, despite all her loudly voiced principles, she tends to fall for scum buckets. A lot. Criminal scum buckets. Sonny (Maurice Benard). Ric (Rick Hearst). Julian (William DeVry). And those are just her baby daddies!
Neil would make a refreshing change. Except for the part where it’s illegal to date your patients. Very, very illegal. Neil could lose his license to practice medicine! Is Alexis worth it? The view from over 3,000 of you:
Promises, Promises
A majority 45% of you will only get on board if there was a guarantee that Neil and Alexis will get a happily ever after. If this relationship goes the way of all of Alexis’s other ones, it’s not long for this world. And certainly not worth Neil risking his livelihood.
Love Is All Around
A slightly smaller 38% of the audience doesn’t care about Neil’s earning potential or Alexis’s failures. You think love should triumph over everything and throw all caution to the wind. Go for it, Neilexis!
Jobs Before Love
And the lowest number of votes, 17%, insisted that Neil’s work means everything to him, and no woman, especially a piece of work like Alexis, is worth risking it for. Doesn’t he want to come home to sanity, after a long, hard day… or more of the same? General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
