Seems like Taggert had just returned to General Hospital — and touched base with former nemeses Sonny and Jason, not to mention Elizabeth, whom he comforted both after she was raped and Lucky was “killed,” as well as his heretofore unknown daughter, Trina – before he was unceremoniously killed off. But is the cop really, most sincerely dead? We heard from over 3,000 fans:
General Hospital and Cops: To Protect And Serve
A majority 58% don’t believe in death, especially not in Port Charles. You’re convinced that Taggert (Réal Andrews) is in Witness Protection. Sure, maybe the government could do it. But if Taggert really wants to be safe — and ever see Trina (Sydney Mikayla) again — he’s better off under Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) protection.
After all those years Taggert spent trying to railroad Sonny into jail simply for the crime of committing crime, it would be poetic justice if he now owed his life to the mobster. And finally came around to the way everyone else in town feels about their patron saint.
Up In the Air
A smaller 25% of General Hospital fans don’t know what to think. Does anyone really die on a soap? How many people currently on the canvas have come back from the dead? Jason (Steve Burton). Laura (Genie Francis). Nikolas (Marcus Coloma). Jake. The list goes on and on. Why should Taggert be an exception? You’re planning to wait and see.
Six Feet Under
Only 17% are willing to believe the body bag and other subtle signs that Taggert might be most sincerely dead. You think that since there wasn’t a body switch, this one is for keeps. But, hey, remember how Joss (Eden McCoy) got poor, dead Jake’s organs? Yeah, he’s still around.
Plus, let’s not forget, Taggert has wanted to bring down Sonny for literally decades. No one like that is allowed to live for long. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
