Although Maxie and Anna refuse to believe it, Peter is a bad man on General Hospital. He has done many bad things. He has killed people. He’s lied. He’s lied about killing people. He’s killed people for lying. He is a bad man.
But he’s also Anna’s (Finola Hughes) son – we think, for now. And he is the father of Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) unborn baby – we think, for now. Is Peter (Wes Ramsey) too important to leave bad? Is it time for him to be reformed? What almost 4,000 fans have to say about the possibility:
It was a super-close vote, but 38% of you ultimately prevailed by insisting that the reformation ship has sailed. Peter is too far down the bad boy road to turn back now. This is who he is, and this is who he’ll stay forever. Port Charles always needs a full-time baddie lurking around, stirring things up when life is getting too pleasant. It might as well be Peter. Nobody likes him now. They might as well keep on not liking him indefinitely.
A slightly smaller 32% of the audience doesn’t give a damn about Peter, but they do care about Maxie. You believe she deserves to be happy after what happened to Nathan. (What happened to Nathan? Peter got him killed. But let’s not think about that now.) It’s not for Peter’s sake, but for Maxie and her baby’s that you’re voting, yeah, let’s redeem him.
And then there are the 30% who tell GH sure, go ahead, give reforming Peter a shot. Followed by the prediction: But it won’t work, dude’s too far gone.
Peter is a pretty hard case. He is convinced the world is out to hurt him, so he might as well hurt it, first. He is basically a whiny, petty crybaby. That’s hard to redeem. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
