Back in General Hospital’s glory days, we have the Leslie versus Monica rivalry, Bobbie versus Laura, Carly versus Brenda… and Robin… and Liz…and Nelle. But those days have been on the wane.

General Hospital Polling

Will Lulu (Emme Rylan) and Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) heat it up again? The word from almost 6,000 viewers!

Bring It On

The winning 45% of you are loving it, and hoping this catfight gets very messy, very quickly. Lulu and Brook Lynn have a past that includes fighting over Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and, presumably, hair products.

Dante is gone, but they’re practically family now, with Brook Lynn’s dad, Ned (Wally Kurth), married to Lulu’s mother-in-law, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero). So they’ll have to get along. Or, you know… not. The majority is really hoping for not.

Emerging Talent

A smaller 30% of the audience would love to see a rivalry. But it needs to step up its game — and fast. What we’ve got now is a snooze-fest. They’re sniping at each other like middle school girls, instead of the bitchy women they should be. You would love to see a Brook Lynn and Lulu rivalry flare-up. But it has to be what they call an interesting one.

Can’t We All Just Get Along

An ever smaller 25% of General Hospital fans aren’t interested. These are grown women. Watching them act like middle school girls isn’t fun and amping up the rivalry will only make it worse.

Soaps are a medium for women and bitchy catfights are demeaning to everyone involved. Wouldn’t it be fun to subvert expectations and have Lulu and Brook Lynn move on from the petty bickering of their pasts and become good, supportive friends?

Lulu could use someone on her side other than flaky Maxie (Kirsten Storms), who does not bring the words ‘mature’ or ‘supportive’ to mind. And Brook Lynn really needs a friend in Port Charles. She’s made enough enemies. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
