On General Hospital, the Corinthos clan is known for settling all disputes in a reasonable – legal – manner. Oh, who are we kidding? Sonny (Maurice Benard) got custody of Michael by hanging AJ on a meathook until he signed away his rights.
General Hospital Polling
Now, Carly (Laura Wright) is dealing with Nelle (Chloe Lanier) refusing to let Wiley be operated on for his heart condition by… locking her on the roof.
Desperate mother doing what’s best for her son and grandson, or immature middle-schooler? Almost 3.000 fans told us how they felt about it:
Situational Ethics
That was an awful, terrible thing to do, 45% of you said… except that Carly did it to help Wiley and Michael (Chad Duell) so that made it OK. Actions don’t exist in a vacuum. How you feel about what somebody did depends on their reasons. And whether or not you believe the Corinthos family deserves to get their way on all things because, well, they’re the Corinthos family. They can do no wrong.
Just Desserts For Nelle
An almost equal 43% of General Hospital fans aren’t even pretending there’s a good reason for what Carly did – beyond Nelle deserving it. Nelle is bad. Carly is… less bad? Ergo, Carly is right and Nelle is wrong. Besides, why should Nelle use the surgery she had forced on her to save Carly’s daughter as any kind of justification for not wanting her son to go through the same trauma? Were you not listening? Nelle is bad!
When They Go Low, We Go High
Only 12% of the audience condemned Carly’s actions, voting that it was a terrible thing for her to do. Nelle is Wiley’s mother, and she deserves a say in his health issues – especially ones she has such strong personal experience with. That was a juvenile stunt, Carly. Do better.
