General Hospital News Update: Co-Star Gives James Patrick Stuart An AMAZING Gift

If you have ever been to or lived in New York City like General Hospital star James Patrick Stuart actually lived there — then you know a gift from this particular legendary eatery is akin to receiving gold — and one co-star sent him exactly that.

James Patrick Stuart Gets A Gift

The handsome actor received the special care package from New York City institution, Zabar’s, from his good friend and former All My Children (and now GH) co-star Michael E. Knight. The two became friends when they both appeared on the New York-based soap back in the early 1990s, where Knight played Tad Martin and Stuart played Will Cortlandt.

“Thank you Michael E Knight for the amazing @ZabarsOfficial birthday gift basket… And for fattening me up just before the Emmys so that I can’t fit in my ballgown,” Stuart tweeted. The gift included many of the store’s staples like their coffee, smoked salmon, corned beef, cookies, and even a Zabar’s mug!

On Instagram, Stuart shared a different picture — a gorgeous chocolate birthday cake in which he wrote, “When Michael E Knight sends you a birthday present. #zabars #newyork #generalhospital.” Former co-star Matt Cohen (ex-Griffin), as well as current co-worker William Lipton (Cameron), both chimed in with birthday wishes for the beloved star.

The two old friends seem over-the-moon to be working together again now on GH where Knight’s Martin seems to indulge every bad impulse of Stuart’s Valentin — and their comedic timing is a delight. When last we saw the two, before the coronavirus pandemic shut down production, they were plotting a takeover of ELQ and seemed very close to pulling it off.
