Last week, Soap Hub reported that General Hospital star Emme Rylan had lost her sister to cancer after she was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 2018.
“My beautiful sister Lara is now an angel in heaven and I know that her precious Riley was waiting for her at the gates. 💕 I want to thank everyone that donated to her Go Fund Me page 2 years ago. The money raised made it possible for her to live in comfort in her home and I will be forever grateful for that,” Rylan posted on Instagram, along with a picture of Lara.
Her sister’s cancer progressed quickly and was found during an MRI for back pain. In 2019, Rylan had said she was incurable but had also started a Go Fund Me to raise money for treatment that could extend her life.
Now, Rylan is thanking fans for an outpouring of love towards her that has come in the last week. And she had done so with her signature positive attitude her kids seem to feed her.
“I have no words that seem like enough to thank you all for all of your loving messages,” Rylan posted on Instagram on Tuesday, along with several pictures of her kids enjoying a day in the outdoors.
“Thank you so very much. ❤️ I’m also feeling very grateful for these little explorers who make it impossible to not smile. (Seriously, it’s impossible… they will tackle you and hit you with stuffed animals until you’re laughing.)”
Soap Hub sends best wishes and condolences to Rylan and her entire family and will be happy to see the actress back onscreen soon. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
