General Hospital (GH) Recap: Wait! It’s A Trick! (A Good Trick?)

The General Hospital (GH) recap for Thursday, December 28 features a day of celebrations and machinations throughout Port Charles.

Matchmaker, Matchmaker!
Aurora Media and it’s five employees toasted to a happy 2018, while its owners looked forward to a night alone on The Haunted Star. While Drew (Billy Miller) left to wish Monica a happy new year, but spoke more to Michael instead, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) had Sam (Kelly Monaco) trying on dresses on the boat.

Sam finally chose a black number with a white coat, and then Jason showed up and not Drew. Why? Well, Carly (Laura Wright) tricked Jason (Steve Burton) into thinking Sonny (Maurice Benard) wanted to meet him there with information on Faison. Of course.

At the hospital, Michael (Chad Duell) had Monica (Leslie Charleson) examine Nelle (Chloe Lanier) due to her dizzy spells and Monica almost made Nelle think she has an ally. Michael also discussed with Drew how he is not sure if the baby is his. And, Nelle happened to surprise Michael when she told him she has a job.

A Big Opioid Crisis
Finn (Michael Easton) managed to get a bug into Cassandra’s phone and he and Anna (Finola Hughes) listened in on her whole conversation with Valentin.

This conversation included her European plant and her wanting Val to kill Sonny.

Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was not happy with any of this, especially when he just wants to be a normal family man, so he threw Cassandra’s (Jessica Tuck) phone against the wall and her goon thought Val had something to do with the bug.

Then, they kidnapped Valentin while Nina (Michelle Stafford) wondered where her husband could be on New Year’s Eve.

False Celebration
Anna and Finn celebrated, thinking they got Cassandra now that the WSB raided her plant. Little do they know what’s really going on.
