On General Hospital, Ava Jerome seems to have found the man of her dreams in Nikolas Cassadine. But they’ve been together for a while now, and the will-they or won’t-they angst of their early relationship has turned into one of mutual support and affection.
General Hospital Polls
Ava (Maura West) and Nik (Marcus Coloma) are perfectly happy and supportive of each other now. That can become kind of dull, no? Soap Hub asked almost 6,000 of you whether Ava needs a new man in her life. Here’s what you told us:
Can’t Do Better
A majority 76% of the audience doesn’t think so. You think Ava and Nik are perfect together. He’s the man who will stand by her and give her the unconditional love no one ever has before.
Ava had some pretty rotten parents. Plus, the men in her life previously ranged from the married Silas Clay (Michael Easton), the homicidal Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), the fully psychotic Ryan Chamberlin (Jon Lindstrom), and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), who had sex with her in a crypt.
The latter called her names for daring to have sex with a near-stranger in a crypt, and then he took the child who resulted from crypt-sex away from her. Because Sonny the mob boss is a safer parent for Avery than Ava, the daughter of a mob boss. Nik is a literal prince compared to all that. Ava better hold onto him!
General Hospital: Dullsville
Blah, blah, blah, love…blah, blah, blah, support…blah, blah, blah, hopelessly devoted to you. There are 16% of fans who can barely keep their eyes open when those two are onscreen. These viewers would really love for things to pick up a bit.
Bad Man
Only 8% of viewers who answered the poll are rooting for an affair, and you have just the man in mind. Ava should hook up with Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy). She’s be trading up. A bonus — she wouldn’t have to change the names on her checks.
