General Hospital Convention Fan Gathering Postponed to 2021

There’s good news and bad news for General Hospital fans. The show is set to return with new episodes on Monday, August 3, but one of the show’s fan gatherings is being officially rescheduled for next year.

General Hospital Convention Falls Victim to 2020

“Keeping the safety and health of our attendees, guests and staff continue to be our top priority,” said Creation Entertainment in a statement. “While we had hoped that our Official General Hospital Convention could take place in November, unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID mandates, we must postpone once again to 2021.

“We want to be able to give our fellow General Hospital fans the safest and best experience possible! The NEW DATE is now May 14-16, 2021 at the same venue, the Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel!

“We are currently working with each of the guests to move their appearance to the new date and we’ll keep you informed as each of the actors confirm. Please check the website for updates!

“If you wish to hold your same seat or general admission, as well as a la carte autograph and photo op tickets, you do not need to do anything. Your tickets and same seating will be transferred to the new 2021 date and updated tickets will be sent to you via the email address you used at the time of purchase within a few weeks. Your 2020 ticket will no longer be valid.

“Attendees must cancel their hotel reservations at this time. We will have revised booking links shortly so you can re-book your hotel reservations for the new date.”

The Creation folks are offering an alternative in case attendees are unable to make it to the event on its new date next year. “If you’d like a refund for the General Hospital 2020 Convention, please contact customer.service@creationent.com. The deadline for refund requests for the convention is August 5 at 3:00 PM PDT (please include your invoice number and the convention name/city in your email).

“If you do not request a refund by the deadline, your admission passes and a la carte photo op and autograph purchases will be transferred to the new date. Refunds will begin to be processed after the deadline date. Please allow up to 8 weeks from the deadline date for your request to be processed.
