The week of May 10, 2021
Roger Howarth is reportedly back on set taping scenes, albeit not as Franco, the role he played from 2013 until he was killed off in April. There’s still no word on who Howarth will be portraying this time around. However, his new alter ego is slated to debut by the end of the month.
Kimberly J. Brown remembered as Marah on Guiding Light is set to debut in a new role, this week. As has become common practice on GH, details about the character are being kept under wraps.
Add Kristina Wagner (Felicia Scorpio-Jones) to the list of veterans who’ll be appearing in the special tribute episode to the late John Reilly (Sean Donely). Wagner hasn’t been on the canvas since May of 2020.
Although James Patrick Stuart (Valentin) has been cast in a pilot for Disney Channel; he has no plans on leaving GH. The shows’ studios are close to one another, and should the project get picked up, he anticipates being able to tackle both series with some creative scheduling.

General Hospital History
GH made its debut in 1963 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera in American history. The longest-running soap is Guiding Light. While it’s not the longest-running serial, General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
The daytime drama outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households! From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine, to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) exploits, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.
Bringing the Drama
More than five decades of gripping drama as well as love in the afternoon have kept this ABC daytime soap on the air and winning Daytime Emmys. It is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives, The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). GH airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for air times.
