No regular viewer of General Hospital (GH) can pretend that we didn’t see this coming. Sure, Griffin (Matt Cohen) was romantically involved with Ava (Maura West).
Still, the fact that he had such trouble getting over the ‘I love you’ hurdle – and his habit of taking Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) side over Ava’s when it came to Avery – suggested that perhaps the defrocked-priest-turned doctor’s heart lay with someone else.
No, not Sonny. Though that definitely would have been interesting.
Ava’s daughter, Kiki (Hayley Erin) was the obvious suspect. When they slept together the night of the Nurses’ Ball, it looked like this heretofore unspoken relationship might actually be headed somewhere.
But then Ava decided she wanted Griffin to take her back, and Kiki was so busy with Dr. Bensch (James DePaiva) and all his creepiness…
But, does the initial suspicion still stand? Could Griffin be in love with Kiki? Almost 11,000 wannabe Cupids pulled back on their bow strings and fired!

Griffin loves to rescue people. It’s his Achilles Heel. He kept trying to rescue Ava – after that little blemish on her face was fixed – by telling her how she could – should – be a better person.
But, Ava wasn’t having it. Kiki, on the other hand, is constantly looking for validation and affirmation. It’s what made her so vulnerable to Bensch. And so appealing to Griffin.
Nothing Doing
Griffin doesn’t love Kiki, 33% of the fans counter, he just wants to help. Griffin always wants to help. Them sleeping together was just a rebound. Nothing more. Until Ava finds out…
