Her General Hospital character Kiki has been killed off, but now, Kristen Alderson, who originated the role of Ava’s ill-fated daughter, is facing a different kind of “resurrection” in a new film.
According to IMDB, Alderson has been cast in the movie The Glorious Resurrection of Claire Owens. No word yet on the flick’s plot, however, Alderson has been cast in the title role so expect her to have lots of screen-time!
Before being cast as Kiki on GH, Alderson grew up before the eyes of daytime viewers as Starr Manning on One Life to Live. She brought that character over to GH and played her for a while before switching over to the part of Kiki.
Also appearing in the film is Michael O’Leary, best known to soap fans as Rick Bauer on Guiding Light. Each actor appeared in the finale of their respective shows. OLTL went off the air in 2012. The light dimmed on GL in 2009.
While Kiki was recast with Hayley Erin after Alderson vacated the part, there’s always the chance that the former OLTL star could pop up in Port Charles as Starr now that ABC has the rights to the OLTL characters back.
Alderson’s fans know that in addition to acting, she’s a talented singer. This week, she was set to take part in Philly Holiday Fest in Philadelphia and sang a Christmas song as part of the festivities.
Soap Hub will bring viewers more details about The Glorious Resurrection of Claire Owens as they become available. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for air times.
