On General Hospital, the monsters she had to deal with were more of the psychotic, human variety. But now, actress Briana Lane is poised to face a far more terrifying threat. It’s big. It can fly. And it’s supposed to have been extinct for millions of years!
Lane has been tapped to star in the comedy short Terrordactyl: Extinction USA, which will be released on February 5, 2021. According to IMDb, the mini-movie will concern itself with the exploits of pterodactyl on the loose “during the World’s Largest Hot Air Balloon festival.”
Lane will play Dr. Rachel. Her co-stars include This Is Us alum Catlin Thompson as Tanya, Tony Cavalero as Dr. Scientist MD Attorney At Law, and Johnny Loquasto as Phil Mabloom.
Lane last appeared on General Hospital on November 16, 2020, having assumed the role of Brook Lynn Quartermaine, AKA BLQ, over the summer. Lane had been a pinch hitter for actress Amanda Setton who ceded the role in order to welcome baby number three.
During Lane’s tenure with the soap, Brook Lynn instigated an estrangement between herself and her father, Ned (Wally Kurth), when she inadvertently sold her ELQ shares to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Further trouble arose when Brook Lynn insinuated herself into Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) plan to kidnap her son, Wiley, and Nelle violently lashed out and attacked Brook Lynn’s throat with a pair of scissors. The resulting injury damaged Brook Lynn’s vocal cords, effectively ending her singing career.
And yet, there was still more drama to play out. An act of sabotage on Brook Lynn’s part resulted in Ned believing that his wife, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero), had been unfaithful – and he, in turn, committed adultery.
Then, Brook Lynn’s attempts to pawn off Amy Driscoll’s (Risa Dorken) singing voice as her own backfired spectacularly. And finally, a night of unbridled passion with Valentin seems to have left Brook Lynn in a very delicate condition. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
