On Friday, General Hospital (GH) bid goodbye to Nathan West in a special episode dedicated to the funeral for a fallen police officer.
Throughout the hour, fans could see actress Kirsten Storms’ own silent tribute to the actor who played her onscreen love for the past four years. As Maxie, she wore the necklace Ryan Paevey gave her before he filmed his last scenes.
It wasn’t until Saturday that Storms got to watch the episode herself, and it made her as emotional as it made us.
After she finished viewing Nathan’s tear-jerking funeral, she took to Twitter to express her feelings–and let us know how much she already misses her co-star.
“Finally saw yesterday’s episode. I want to give a shoutout to Ryan Paevey,” she wrote. “I’m going to miss seeing you every morning (mernting!), running lines, eating lunch together, and listening to your video games through the dressing room wall. You were such a supportive scene partner…”
Storms is also a supportive friend, promoting Paevey’s jewelry making business on her own social media pages, and of course, there’s that necklace that she already said she hasn’t taken off.
Paevey saw the tweet and responded in kind, making us miss this pair all the more.
For now, Nathan has gone to heaven with Georgie, and Maxie is left pregnant and alone. Expect some emotional moments to come as this always-strong character deals with her grief.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
