General Hospital's Curtis and Ava
There were some serious sparks flying over at Ava’s art gallery on General Hospital – and this was before Sonny came over seeking revenge.
Yeah, we know, Curtis (Donnell Turner) has chemistry with everyone he interacts with in Port Charles. We should be totally used to this by now–but wowza!
The scenes with Ava as he tried to confirm that she’s the one pulling Julian’s strings took Soap Hub by surprise and we can’t stop talking about it! Do we start calling them Curva or maybe Avis?
Granted, multiple Emmy-award-winning actress Maura West is no slouch in the chemistry department either. She certainly makes everyone step up their game in scenes opposite her.
But, the two of them together were a breath of fresh air. It was glorious Ava almost melt as finally someone spoke her language about art and their love for it.
Curtis also seemed rather taken by surprise that she was not the monster he was expecting after listening to Julian (William deVry) say how much he fears his sister.
The two played a game of cat-and-mouse as they bargained over a very expensive painting. While Curtis thinks he’s awfully crafty about getting information, it was obvious after he left that Ava knew he wasn’t there about the art.

The question is, what will happen the next time these two cross each other’s path – provided Sonny (Maurice Benard) doesn’t deprive us of that chance by killing Ava first?
Will Ava’s claws come out, wanting to get to the truth about why Curtis was on a hunting expedition?
Or, will she instead take the time to enjoy her new chew toy and play with his mind a bit first? And, will Curtis enjoy this – now that he proclaims he’s done with Jordan (Vinessa Antoine)? Could this be the beginning of a beautiful friendship – or something more?
