Why Now Is the Perfect General Hospital Time To Finally Bring Holly Back

For months, General Hospital has been obsessed with bringing Peter August to justice. The focus of most Port Charles crime-solvers was on that, and, last month, they finally made it happen.

Ding-dong, the jerk is dead! Now it’s time for those beautiful crime-solvers to focus on an issue that’s been on the back-burner for too long. Where is Holly Sutton (Emma Samms)?

GH: Dead Issue

She’s dead, Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) would say. He got drunk and cried about it and everything. But this isn’t Holly’s first alleged meeting with her maker. Nor would it be Robert’s. Someone who’s been dead as many times as him — and we’re not counting Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), Robin Scorpio-Drake (Kimberly McCullough), Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary), Laura Collins (Genie Francis), etc… — should take anyone’s death lying down. Especially not the one-time love of his life.

Shift of General Hospital Focus

Anna blamed herself for a lot of what happened with Peter (Wes Ramsey), so she had every right to be distracted. Now that she’s hastened Peter’s death, Anna needs some distraction from that reality.

What better way to focus on something else than by looking into what happened to Holly? Whether you believe she is the love of Robert’s life or Anna was, Robert and Anna are good pals now. And good pals totes help each other out when it comes to presumed dead spouses.

And then there’s the sleuthing team of Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and Felicia Jones Scorpio (Kristina Wagner). Now that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and her baby are reunited, Mac and Felicia can go back to doing what they love — digging up clues and going on capers. Robert would be so happy if they found Holly and brought her back to Port Charles. It would help heal their recently not much to celebrate family!
