Why GH’s Sydney Mikayla Is So Beloved As Terrific Teen Trina Robinson

There is only about one week left to enjoy the amazing job that Sydney Mikayla is doing in her role as Trina Robinson on General Hospital, so Soap Hub wanted to take a moment to show our appreciation for the awesome job she has done in making this terrific teen someone we care about and root for to have everything she wants in life.

Sydney Mikayla — Moving On

This talented young woman has proven time and again that she has what it takes to go far in show business, and yet she’s stepping out of the spotlight to attend college — just like Trina. While we fully expect her experience to go more smoothly than her onscreen character, watching the depth she has given this young woman as she fights for what and who she believes in has been incredible.

Luckily, after all she’s been put through by “Spence” Cassadine’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) girlfriend, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), we at least get a showdown with Tuesday’s episode — something that has been building for months, ever since Esme came on the Port Charles scene and ruined what seemed to be a budding romance for Spencer and Trina.

Yet, that is the least of what defines this go-getter character that Sydney Mikayla helped bring to life. She is the voice of reason for her friend set, she calls people on their baloney, she makes her parents strive to be better people, and she’s been blazing her own trail.

She’s found a mentor in Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West), who was so impressed by Trina, she let her talk her into an internship at her gallery, spearhead an incredible art installation exhibit, and has motivated Ava to be the best version of herself as well.

We’re sure the new actress, Tabyana Ali, will continue the tradition of making Trina the amazing young woman she is, but we want to thank Sydney Mikayla for helping to make us adore her onscreen character so much. Wishing this incredible star a long career of shining brightly.
