Whose GH Relationship Will Jason Morgan’s Return Destroy First?

It’s no secret anymore that Jason Morgan is returning to General Hospital. We don’t know exactly when, we don’t know exactly how, but we do know that it will cause waves all through Port Charles. Sure, the Quartermaines — the few still left — will be shocked. Sonny will be delighted. His kids will be used to it. But the real mystery is whose romantic relationship Jason will affect with his Stone Cold charm.

Poor Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) is floundering, trying to make sparks fly with the dour Finn (Michael Easton). Jason’s (Steve Burton) return could be just what the doctor ordered. Liz turned to Jason when her marriage with Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) wasn’t working. And Liz loved Lucky a lot more than we can believe she cares for Finn (though THIS did happen).

Sure, Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Jason weren’t together at the time of his latest death. But she always was, and always will be the love of his life. Sam may be living with Dante now, but how long will that last once Jason is back on her radar? She can pretend they’re in touch just for Danny’s sake. But since when has Jason cared about Danny? (Or Jake, for that matter?) We know that Sam can’t stay away from Jason for long. And vice-versa.

Nothing Like the Real Thing, Baby

But the person who missed Jason the most will be the one happiest to see him. Carly (Laura Wright) finally got Jason to marry her when she thought Sonny (Maurice Benard) was dead. Now she’s not with Sonny anymore. She’s with Drew (Cameron Mathison). Drew. Jason’s twin — AKA a pale imitation. She’s with Drew because she can’t be with Sonny. And she was with Sonny — all the way back from the very first — because she couldn’t be with Jason. Now that she can have Jason, it’s end of story.
