Whatever Happened To Esme Prince’s GH Trust Fund and Her Parents?

Esme is on the run on General Hospital. Alexis was able to figure out where she went by tracking the corporate card Esme stole. Why did Esme need to do that? Especially since she had to know it would be trivial for the Port Charles Police Department to track. We realize that Esme is frantic with worry about her son, and eager to track down Ace’s kidnapper, not to mention make Nikolas and Spencer pay for what they did. But Esme is also smart and calculating. Why did she forget about her alternative resources?

When we first met Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl), she was a Euro-trash friend of Spencer’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez). They went to boarding school together. Not only was Esme getting her expenses covered, but she had a trust fund from her late, adoptive parents.

Why didn’t Esme use that instead of Alexis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) money? That would have been much harder to track (and track they tried to do). As it is, Dante needed Esme’s old nanny to suggest that he’d been sent on a wild goose chase. The Port Charles Police Department is not that smart.

We were also told that Esme had adoptive siblings. Why didn’t she hit them up for money, or hide out with them? Obviously, Dante would have never thought to look there. Like we said — not that smart. Now, maybe off-camera, Dante checked with Esme’s siblings, and they reported they had no contact with their sister. They could have been lying. Or they could have told Dante why.

And if they did that, maybe we’d have finally gotten an answer to the question that’s been circling Esme since she came to town: Did she kill her adoptive parents? If she did, that would be a good reason for her siblings to cut all ties with her. And not give her money. And maybe even revoke her trust fund. We could have gotten answers to multiple questions. And Dante wouldn’t have seemed so dim.
