Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) walked into a very angry Trina’s life and he may be here to stay. He was instantly impressed with the woman who spilled a drink on him, but when she realized who he was, she wanted nothing to do with him.

The QB made a grand effort to do better and she eventually began to soften towards him.

Who is Kai? We do not know his back story yet, other than he is a great football player who doesn’t love the limelight. Might he be related to someone in Port Charles? We never know — the Quartermaines often have an illegitimate child pop up, and lately, so have the Scorpios.

Trina was devastated when Spencer (ex-Nicholas Alexander Chavez) fell overboard and died. The couple went through so much to finally be together, and then he died. She mourned her boyfriend for a long time.

Now Kai has entered the picture. It is nice to see her with a guy who is trying to do better for her. She challenged the fact that he wasn’t doing his work, and he stepped up. It was impressive.

Kai is interested in Trina and what she loves. He pays attention when she talks about art and wants to see it through her eyes. But he also has his own passion, which Spencer never had. She can take an interest in football and learn about what he loves. They will learn from each other and their relationship will be on equal footing.

Kai may be the next love of Trina’s life. But what will happen if Spencer is alive after all? Nicholas Alexander Chavez is a rising star and probably won’t be back to GH anytime soon, but they can always recast. Her ex may return from the dead just as she falls for Kai.
