We realize Trina Robinson had a very busy few days on General Hospital. Finding out your dad might not be your dad, that your biological dad might be the guy your mom just married is a stressful thing. So, in that sense, Trina is definitely at the center of the action. Literally. But we’re wondering about a different type of action. Which she hasn’t been getting that much of.
Trina Robinson: The Brat Pack
Trina (Tabyana Ali), Joss (Eden McCoy), Cameron (William Lipton), Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl), and Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) are all supposed to be roughly the same age. They were in high school and college together. (Except for Spencer and Esme, who were in boarding school, but at the same time.)
So far, Cam has slept with Joss, Joss then cheated on him with Dex (Evan Hofer), and Spencer slept with Esme, who also slept with — and got knocked up — by his dad.
Trina has had a couple of kisses. And that’s it.
Taking Their General Hospital Time
Yes, yes, yes. We know. Trina wanted to have sex with Spencer, but he put on the brakes there. He wasn’t feeling the whole art gallery floor thing. And the whole Trina is emotionally fragile because of the big paternity thing. Spencer was being a gentleman. No shade on Spencer.
We’re more curious why the show is treating Trina so differently from not just Esme and Joss, but from their previous young heroines, stretching from Lulu and Maxie (Kirsten Storms) to Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Emily. Even Laura (Genie Francis) had already been married and divorced by the time she was Trina’s age. Not to mention going on the run with the love of her life.
Doesn’t Trina deserve the same young leading lady treatment? We bet “Sprina” fans would like to see this relationship move to the next level!
