Michael Shot Drew?
The PCPD has multiple suspects in Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting. Most of Port Charles wanted to get rid of the guy, and for good reason. He turned out to be quite the creep and was ruining lives all over town. Anyone could have shot him.
Michael (Rory Gibson) probably hates Drew more than anyone, so he is pretty high on the suspect list. He does have an alibi for the night in question, but it’s pretty flimsy. He claims he was with Jacinda (Paige Herschell), a sex worker, at the time Drew was shot. She backed up his story, but many are still doubtful. Michael made things worse when he purposely invited Molly (Kristen Vaganos) and Kristina (Kate Mansi) over to the Qs while Jacinda was there as his “friend.” The sisters saw right through it.
Michael Could Have Planted Edward’s Gun
The PCPD figured out one thing: the gun used in the crime was owned by Edward Quartermaine (the late John Ingle), Michael’s great-grandfather. Anyone who lives in, or has access to, the Quartermaine mansion is a likely suspect. Michael fits the bill.
In a surprise move, he showed up at Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) to speak to Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), and was left alone for a while to wait for his ex to come home. He then offers her a chance to see their children in supervised visits. This came out of nowhere because Michael has been saying she is unfit.
Soon after, Anna (Finola Hughes) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) show up with a search warrant, and, surprise, surprise, the gun is found. It certainly looks to them that Willow shot her boyfriend. Did she, or did Michael plant the gun to frame her?
If Willow goes to prison, Michael will get revenge for her leaving him for his uncle. It sounds extreme, but he does have a dark and vindictive side. The icing on the cake for him would be that she is out of the kids’ lives, which he believes is the best thing for them.
Either of these exes may be the guilty party, or someone else altogether. We will have to wait and see how it plays out.
