A Critic’s Review of General Hospital: Who’s Your Daddy

When it comes to General Hospital, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the GH week that was.

General Hospital: A Critic’s Week In Review

Rather than subvert expectations, General Hospital went the obvious route where Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) is concerned…or did they? After having watched, rewatched, and re-rewatched her scenes opposite Ryan Chamberlin (Jon Lindstrom) I’m still unsure whether the two are daddy and daughter or daddy and daughter. What I am sure of, is that either way you look at it, it’s all kinds of icky.

Further GH Musings

* Has Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) forgotten about Aiden?

* Is it possible, at all conceivable that Courtney Matthews is alive? I know, I know, I’m probably grasping at straws. But why has this woman’s name been on everyone’s lips all of a sudden?

Might a resurrected Courtney be the reason Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is so hell-bent on convincing Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) to postpone their wedding until such a time as Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) can attend? Perhaps Victor wants to “present” her at the event. This is General Hospital. Anything’s possible.

* Please forgive me for trying to interject some logic into a General Hospital storyline, but a) what are the chances that the tow truck driver/garage mechanic attending to Brasha’s car is ordained, and b) what are the chances that the couple actually has a marriage license on them?

* Slim and Princess – and possibly Laura Collins (Genie Francis) too – are on a mission…wonder if we’ll actually get to see the gals in action?

* Two weeks on the job, and Tanisha Harper is proving herself to be a keeper. Fingers crossed Jordan Ashford actually follows through on her word to keep a closer eye on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

* You know, for someone who swears blind that she’s over Sonny, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) sure does take any opportunity to rush over to his penthouse.

General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes. For more about what’s coming up in Port Charles, check out all the latest that’s been posted on GH spoilers, and for an in-depth look at the show’s history, click here.
