When it comes to General Hospital, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days, we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of the GH week that was.
General Hospital: The Critic’s POV
So….Ned (Wally Kurth) knows that it’s 2023 and that he’s in Port Charles, but he doesn’t know that he’s not Eddie Maine? Okay, sure. That makes about as much sense as everything else going on — like how Cody (Josh Kelly) won’t just put himself, Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), Sam (Kelly Monaco), and us fans out of their/our misery and out Gladys (Bonnie Burroughs) for the ratbag that she is.
There are only way two ways I’ll be able to get behind this Eddie Maine mess, and that is if General Hospital either brings back Lois — and in the personage of Rena Sofer, the one and true Ms. Cerullo [sorry Lesli Kay] — or steers him in Alexis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) direction.
Yes, that’s right, I LIKED Ned and Alexis together…I look forward to reading your hateful, contrary comments below!
Further GH Musings
* Again, I ask Chris and Dan/Dan and Chris, where is Chase’s (Josh Swickard) self-respect when it comes to “Mildew” *ahem* “Millow”? If I never see him interact with either Michael (Chad Duell) or Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) it will still be too soon.
* I just cannot with Drew (Cameron Mathison). CANNOT! What kind of man, what kind of father prioritizes a woman who threw him away like a piece of trash once she realized he wasn’t actually the true love of her life [which, lets face it, IS Jason] over his child?
Also, no matter how much Chris and Dan/Dan and Chris try, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Dex (Evan Hofer) will NEVER be a latter-day Jason and Carly (Laura Wright). They just won’t. Get over it.
* I see you, General Hospital, trying desperately to make Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Finn (Michael Easton) happen anew. Stop it! Stop right now! How about giving us something that we’d actually appreciate seeing, like Liz and her ladies painting the town red?
* Kudos to Réal Andrews for his stirring performance on Wednesday’s air show.
* They’re no substitution for the sheer delightful bitchery that is Tracy vs Monica, but Tracy vs Olivia will suffice.
