There is nothing General Hospital’s Alexis loves more than feeling sorry for herself and blaming others for her own bad choices. And there is nothing she hates more than being told what to do. Don’t people realize that she is a strong, independent woman who doesn’t need help or advice?
General Hospital Polling
If she’s drinking herself into a stupor, it’s because she’s chosen to drink herself into a stupor in a strong, independent woman sort of way, and anyone who objects just wants to take away her agency. Or something like that.
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is a falling-down drunk. She isn’t making any sense. Who will finally make her see that she’s an addict, not a self-actualized feminist? What over 2,000 viewers expect to see happen:
Hi, I’m Finn
Finn (Michael Easton) is supposed to be there for Alexis, and he hasn’t been doing too great of a job of it lately, which is why a winning 42% of you demand that chance, ASAP. Or at least more of a chance than he was given recently. Finn, go help Alexis out some more! Say something inspirational! Maybe even alter your facial expression while you’re at it. To prove your sincerity.
From the Mouths of Babes
A slightly smaller 33% of the audience expects little Danny to make an impression where no adult can. Alexis can ignore Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) as jealous harridans who want to stop Alexis’s fun. But Danny is neither of those things. And he doesn’t like how Grandma smells when she’s particularly happy.
Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves
Alexis prides herself on being smarter than the average bear, which is why 18% of the fans expect her to figure out that she’s acting like an idiot all by herself.
Sure, Why Not?
Carly (Laura Wright) needs to be in every story, so why not this one, 7% shrug. Sure, Carly can give Alexis a stern talking-to and get her to shape up or ship out. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
