As Chloe Lanier’s last airdate on General Hospital (GH) as Nelle fastly approaches, the actress shared her feelings the journey in LA that brought her to become an Emmy-winning soap actress.
The talented young lady took to Instagram with a message… and an adorable snap you can see below.
“I moved to LA nearly six years ago with one credit and $200 to my name. I knew two people in all of Los Angeles. Today, I’m grateful to have more love in my life than I ever thought possible.”
She began her GH stint as a young Pat Spencer, sister of Bobbie and Luke. She played Pat in flashback scenes with Laura Wright playing her mother.
The show was so impressed with her, it brought her back over a year later for a take-no-prisoners performance as the kidney-donor-turned-sociopath named Janelle Benson.
Lanier also expressed her gratitude for the support she’s received from GH fans since 2015.
“Thank you to all of my friends, fans and loved ones for your overwhelming love and support. I am so excited to share this next chapter with you all. More to come. Xox #thankyou #grateful”
It’s a good bet that all of those fans, along with her co-stars, will be waiting anxiously to see what that next chapter includes. In fact, a couple of those co-stars commented on her post to say just that.
“American dream! Excited to see where you go from here. Still mad that I never got to work with you. 😉” said Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix).
“Go get em, darling! 💗💗💗” shared Tamara Braun (Kim).
The actress also tweeted a thank you to the incredible GH writers for all that they’ve given her to play.
“Thank you to our writers #shellyaltman and @OGChrisVanEtten for entrusting me with this material. I love Nelle and her grit. @GeneralHospital has given me more gifts than Santa.❤”
But it will be more like the Grinch Who Stole Chloe when she bids her final farewell this week.
