Being a cop is a lonely business, especially on General Hospital, and not just because law enforcement types tend to be cast as the bad guys when it comes to dealing with the mob.
Cops also have to keep secrets and take off for long periods of time. Lulu (Emme Rylan) for instance, doesn’t even know where her husband, Dante, is, these days, and Maxie (Kristen Storms) was left a widow, forced to raise baby James alone after her husband, Nathan died in the line of duty – sort of.
Chase’s (Josh Swickard) last relationship was with the duplicitous – and kind of crazy – Nelle (Chloe Lanier), so you understand why he’s kind of gunshy. But, has it been long enough? Is it time for Chase to get a love interest? Over 4,000 Port Charles watchers voted.
Waste Not, Want Not
Wasting a fine specimen of manhood like Chase is akin to wasting a precious natural resource, according to 70% of you.
Hey, how about that widow, Maxie? Chase is certainly a better option than Peter (Wes Ramsey), and he did take Nathan’s place as Dante’s partner. So, he’s already familiar with the parameters of the job.
And then there’s Lulu. She doesn’t have a husband, and she’s been making Chase some home-cooked dinners. Plus, it would really make Dante sorry he decided to take off.

Alone Again, Naturally
Contrary to popular – and soap opera belief – not everyone is required to be coupled up, lecture 29% of the fans.
Chase was burned before, and now he wants to take it easy. He deserves to be respected, not pressured. You’re not his mother. If something happens organically, then it happens, but it’s possible to be single and happy, too. Let Chase concentrate on his job. Port Charles needs a cop with his head in the game.
