Alexis’s year started off fantastic on General Hospital. She married who she thought was the man of her dreams and expected a fairytale life after a not-so-fairytale wedding punctuated by a shootout.
But, it’s Port Charles after all and what wedding is ever without a little mob action? Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) put that drama aside and started life with Julian (William deVry) never imagining he’d re-enter the “business” and eventually try killing her with the same dagger that killed her mother.
Since then, Alexis’s nerves have been on edge and understandably so. A glass of wine here or there calmed her down, but after Paul (Richard Burgi) threw the trial and Julian was set free, alcohol has seemed her only friend. Will Alexis ever get clean and sober, and if so, who will come to her rescue? Soap Hub asked you to choose.
A Special Bond
Out of nearly 10,000 votes, 52% of you think Sonny (Maurice Benard) will save Alexis from herself. He’s always been one to put things bluntly with her and lay it on the line. As co-parents, they developed a bond through the years and he refuses to see her fall. Besides, he’s the one who rescued her from Julian and that dagger. He may have told her earlier this year that he was through with her, but we all knew that wasn’t true. He was telling her he’d always be there.
Mothers and Daughters
A smaller 30% feel Alexis’s girls will be the ones to help their mother through. She has three strong, smart, and beautiful daughters who will do anything for her. They are also quite blunt with her–especially Molly–and you can see them staging an intervention.
Girl Power
The final 18% are counting on Diane (Carolyn Hennesy). Best friends seem to sometimes be our only friends, especially when we’re at our lowest in life. If anyone can pull Alexis through, it’s her favorite gal pal and partner-in-fun-crime.
