The mourning of poor Dev’s death has seemed hollow on General Hospital, especially by the two adults who have been raising the teen in their home for nearly two years. Thankfully, Brando (his pretend father) and Dev’s friends have been taking things a bit harder than Carly and Sonny.
General Hospital Deleted Scene
Sadly, we did not get to see the entirety of Cam’s devastation because GH apparently didn’t have room for one scene in the final edit, but it did offer it to us in a deleted scene posted on social media.
In the scene, Cameron (Will Lipton) laments to Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco (Roger Howarth) how he had been blowing off Dev (Ashton Arbab) of late, mainly because Dev’s attitude had been changing a bit. The teens did come to an understanding just before the bomb went off.
Cam asks his parents what to do with all the anger and sense of loss he’s been feeling and Franco tells him to allow himself to feel it and then surround himself with the people who love him and who loved Dev. “Together, you try and live with his absence,” Franco concludes.
It’s scenes like these that make soaps what they are and we hope to see more of them end up on our soap screens rather than the cutting room floor. In the past week, Twitter also gave us deleted scenes between Tracy (Jane Elliot) and Monica (Leslie Charleson), as well as Ava (Maura West) and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma). While it’s nice to see what was left out, we’d love it if they had been included in the show to add to both the drama and continuity. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
