One can look at General Hospital’s near-year-long baby switch saga in two ways. It’s gone on too long and it needs to end already OR there are so many layers here we can’t wait to see how the truth is revealed. You can also look at it both those ways. The layers and loose threads make it fascinating, but General Hospital also needs to move the heck on.
But, it’s easy to forget the one person who knows all and this is someone Brad (Parry Shen) is not counting on in his quest to keep his mess of lies from bubbling to the surface.
And this is one Nelle (Chloe Lanier) never bothered to mention when she handed him her healthy baby and took Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) poor dead son in her arms to pass off as her own.
Liesl (Kathleen Gati) knows ALL. Not only does she know Nelle gave birth to a living child because she’s the doctor who delivered the baby on the side of the road, but she also knows where that child ended up.
Remember? In just one scene scary Liesl managed to verbally beat the truth out of Nelle, something most people have a seriously hard time doing.
There is no way with Liesl having this information and keeping it so close to the vest for so long that it won’t become a part of the baby reveal somehow. That’s the whole reason Liesl delivered Nelle’s child — so she could be the loose thread in the background many people forget about, but how will it all happen?
Well, this week, she will be in the same room as Brad, right there on The Haunted Star at Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco’s (Roger Howarth) wedding reception. And Brad and Liesl aren’t exactly buddy-buddy.
We can see her …continue reading on the next page —>
We can see her taunting him and him trying to figure out what the heck she’s talking about as she babbles drunkenly on in code with her thick Eastern European accent. And, she does somehow go overboard?
(Although Valentin could take care of that considering that other “baby” secret — that Sasha is NOT Nina’s daughter. She does look an awful lot like Liesl’s daughter though, but we digress.)
Will Liesl let the Wiley/Jonah saga advance this week? Will she play the key part she should have? And will this story just end already because one year is certainly long enough?
